Real Brides-Brittany

Brittany and Michael - Chicago, IL
Married in August 2013, Brittany and Michael exchanged their nuptials in the tropical paradise of Miami Beach, Florida. We caught up with Brittany after they returned back to the windy city to ask her advice on planning the perfect wedding. She first emphasized deciding on a theme that represented them as a couple and using it as a guide for the planning process-this is where creativity is a must! The Bride, who is African-American, and the Groom, who is Jewish-Italian-Puerto Rican-American, wanted to somehow blend their cultures in a seamless way.
Instead of opting for a fusion wedding, they decided to go with an artsy, South Beach theme, with the wedding ceremony at a church on Lincoln Road and the reception at an adjacent Cuban restaurant and lounge. She loved the freedom of a "mixed, though not fusion" wedding which allowed them to pick instances when to add specific cultural traditions, such as stepping on the glass during the ceremony, a Jewish and Italian wedding tradition.
In addition to picking a theme and location, Brittany also stressed the importance of having "sweet little touches" that represent something important to you and will make your guests smile. For this effect, Brittany chose a practical calla lily picture frame for her favors, which also doubled as place cards and matched her bouquet.
Brittany: "To get the look, use AnneMarie's Calla Lilly Place Card Frame and print your guests' names in a stylish font. These elegant, practical favors will really make your tables sparkle!
When picking a style, always be true to yourself. Your personal touch will shine through the little things you may accidentally overlook-so in addition to picking a wedding location, carefully design your AnneMarie Wedding Favors and leave a lasting impression."
